Liz Loader BHSAI (Regd) |
Liz Loader competed successfully as a child and continues to do so when teaching allows. Liz trained locally, initially, with Sue Marshall at Greenham Equestrian Centre (unfortunately now closed). Other training was taken at Bicton College, Huntley and Talland Equestrian Centres. Liz started her career at Greenham. She also taught at local pony clubs for residential camps and rallies.
Since Rackenford has been established, Liz has taught mainly from here - where she teaches Pony Club members, local Riding Club, private clients on their own horses. Liz is a registered instructor with the British Horse Society. This means that she abides by a code of conduct when teaching, has an up to date First Aid at Work certificate, has attended a Good Practice and Child Protection workshop and keeps up to date with new teaching techniques.
At present, Liz is competing her horse, Kasanova, who is a thoroughbred x trakener, in dressage. He has been successful at Preliminary Level and is working at Novice Level with some lateral movement at home. The plan is to continue his progress through the levels.

|
| Liz Loader's Teaching Approach: Liz teaches groups or private lessons and treats each horse/rider partnership as an individual combination. Liz discusses any problems the rider is having with themselves or their horse, or both, or it might be to improve the partnership. Liz will help the rider with a progressive plan in the direction they wish to go. Liz can help you understand how to ride your horse into a more correct outline, improving communication and feel with the horse. Liz is also able to offer healing to horses which enables her to have a deeper understanding of the horse. This has proved very useful while teaching. Although not giving healing, Liz can feel where the horse may have difficulties in their way of going and be able to help rectify and eliminate it, so the horse can work better, and be happier and more comfortable. |

Distant Healing for horses and dogs using either mane, tail or photo
Liz has a natural gift for Healing, which is a laying on of hands, non-intrusive natural and powerful method that uses the universal energy and love that is all around us. All animals are very receptive to healing because they intuitively know when something is right for them and that it could help. Natural Healing, although not a cure all, can offer in some cases instant relief from a mental, emotional or physical condition or experience.
"The first time I used my hands to direct healing energy was on a 23 year old horse who suffered from Arthritis and stiffness - she took a good 20 minutes to free off her stiffness when worked, and would gradually work better as you progressed. The day after I had given her the healing, I couldn't believe how well she was moving - it was incredible. It was like 10 years had been taken off her. I so couldn't believe what I was seeing, that I had to get my staff to come and see as well."
The areas where Liz has found Healing to help:-
Allergies, Arthritic conditions, Behaviour problems, Back problems, Grief, Injury, Moving home/change of owner, Past Trauma , Stress and general well being of the horse.

Receiving a Healing treatment:
Humans
While receiving a Healing treatment you will feel very relaxed, maybe even falling asleep. You might feel area’s of warmth in your body. Some feel they want to talk during their treatment. Healing works in an amazing way in that it knows exactly the area’s or issue’s that are relevant to the person at that time. Healing then works in a gentle way to help the person release it.
Horses and other animals
Animals also will be very relaxed during their treatment, some will go to sleep or have a look of relief and bliss at being able to perhaps release a painful area, or memory of a traumatic experience from the past. Equally treatments can be given just for the wellbeing of your animal.
Liz can travel to you, or you can visit Liz for a treatment, or have distance healing from home. |
| Liz Loader - Background |
Liz’s life
Liz grew up on a dairy farm in Somerset. Liz although still at school would help with milking the cows, caring for their horses, ducks and chickens before and after school. Liz enjoyed her childhood, but always would rather be outside at home, while she was at school! On leaving school Liz did a 3 year apprentiship in Agriculture, during which she also worked at home, milk recorded for the then Milk Marketing Board and relief milked for other farmers. This lead into a full-time job milking 130 cows. Liz enjoyed milking the cows, but horses were calling! Liz heard of a local riding Instructor, who was offering BHS St 1 training, the first part to becoming an Instructor. Liz was 19 years old, had ridden and competed all her life, but had never had a proper riding lesson. She didn't have any idea what she was trying to achieve or look for in the horse's way of going. Her Instructor, Sue Marshall, was very kind and supporting, which encouraged Liz into wanting to know more. Liz had started her journey. Liz went onto gain her BHSAI, while still milking cows and part-time work at Greenham Equestrian Centre. She opened her own successful riding school in 1999 which continued till May 2006. During this year, many changes took place. The riding school was getting too big to manage with two young children. Liz was being drawn more towards Reiki. Although still at this point unaware of her healing abilities, things were happening around her. Some of the horses Liz was trying to sell due to closing the school, suddenly started to have skin complaints! Several times since the start of the year Liz tried to find a Reiki course to attend. None of them seem to fit in, or felt right for her. She realized with the horses, they didn’t want to be sold! All were found suitable homes though, except one who stayed and now is owned by the person this horse was with me to meet! In October 2006 Liz was recommended a Reiki healer by her horse chiropractor, for one of her horses.Liz then met Reiki Master, Emma Greenwood. Emma helped Liz to clear herself of her own blocked energy, which then helped her gift to materialize.
Realizing a gift of Healing...
Liz Loader has always been interested in alternative therapies and natural remedies. She has long used Essential Oils, Homeopathy and a Healer for the horses in her yard, and was inspired by the late Julie Dicker, several years earlier. In October 2006 Liz met a Reiki Master and, after having her own horses treated, she realised they were being affected by issues carried by Liz herself. She undertook treatments which cleared her of some things she hadn’t dealt with from her past. Since then Liz became more aware of how the horses felt emotionally and physically. Liz started to practice on the horses in her yard, to develop the skills that were appearing, with guidance from the Reiki Master.
Looking back Liz has realized there have been signs of her healing gift. During her childhood she remembers getting very ‘hot’ hands, and not knowing what to do with them, would put her wrists under the cold tap to try and cool them down. She also had feelings of intuition about people or situations. This now extends to picking up on physical feelings of animals and humans especially while teaching and she is now able to re-balance the chakras of the body by clearing them with a healing treatment. Liz can also offer Distant healing using mane or tail hair or a picture, where she can communicate with the horse, and re-balance the chakras as if she were with the horse. She can very often pinpoint problem areas in the way the horse moves that might be preventing the horse from reaching its full potential.
Liz finds the the combination of Healing work and being a Riding Instructor works very well in that she can assess problems and issues from both horse and rider and offer advice on how to move forwards. Liz also treats her family and friends successfully, who find her treatments relaxing and helpful. Her family have since told her that her maternal grand-parents, great grand-father and paternal grandfather had some type of healing or psychic gift. Her paternal grand-father was a blacksmith, he always knew how to treat a horse’s foot problem, no matter what it was. So when the local vet was going to treat any unusual cases he would take Liz’s grand-father along.
Liz feels honoured to have been chosen for this special gift and is eternally grateful to her friend Emma Greenwood, a Reiki Master, who has helped and guided her in her development. Also to the late Julie Dicker who helped to direct Liz in the right direction.

Using Angels for Healing and everyday tasks
Sometimes when I’m giving healing or I want to send healing and help to a friend in need, I use the Angels, God’s messengers. There are many Angels who are always around waiting to be asked for their divine help and guidance. Which they love, but they can only help you if you ask them to, and of course remembering to thank them afterwards.
There are Guardian Angels, Angels and Archangels.
We all have one or maybe two Guardian Angels , who protect us, keep us safe and help to guide us on our path in life.
Guardian Angels will never let anything happen to us that shouldn’t happen. If we were to have a accident or serious illness, our Guardian Angels will always save us, unless it is our time to return to Heaven. Accidents and illness, whether minor or serious are signs that something needs addressing in our lives, or to put us on our correct life path. To look at our lives and decide are we actually doing the job and things in life that we really enjoy? Have you always felt drawn to do another job, or learn a new skill, but felt you could not do it because it mean’t a totally different lifestyle or you felt it would be financially unviable! Is life a struggle? Are you really doing what you should be doing?
Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith and trust in God and the universe that by doing the things we love and wish to do in all areas of our life, will bring us happiness and fulfilment, and abundance in all area’s.
Archangels
Michael – Communication and protection, colour Blue
Raphael – Healing, colour Emerald green
These are the two I use to help me the most, the others as their specialities are required.
Gabriel – Creativity and guidance, colour Orange
Chamuel – Relationships, colour Pink
Uriel – Life path, peace, colour Ruby Red
Haniel – Self expression, colour Turquoise
Metatron –Spiritual enlightment, colour white
Raziel – Intuition and insight, colour Indigo
Jophiel – Wisdom, colour Yellow
When using Angels or Archangels for healing, I ask them for their help, or I will intuitively will be told who to use, before I start my day or in preparation for a human or animal healing individually. I can feel their angelic presence around me and see them as sparkles, white lines, flashes of light, yellow glows, their individual colours and sometimes they appear in full.
“ The first time I saw an angel was five years ago. I kept getting a recurring dream, where our house was broken into and I was beaten and their was no one to save and protect me. After which I would wake up and couldn’t get back to sleep because it had upset me so much. So I would then get out of bed for a while and watch TV until I was nearly falling asleep and then return to bed. This continued for several months. It was while this was happening that I was drawn to find information on Angels. I read lots of books and Angel websites. One particular night while reading one Angel website, I could feel how the atmosphere had changed around me, light, warm and sparkles. Having finished reading, I then did the late feed with my yard of horses, so it was about 10.00pm. I had reached the end stable on one side of the yard, when I heard what sounded like a large winged bird in the trees. As I looked around up the yard, above the stable roof floating down into the yard was the yellow glow of an angel. It was so beautiful and calming. Since, I’ve always felt protected and not had the recurring dream.”
Other situations where I call on the Angels for help
There are many ways Angels can help, you can ask them to help with anything you like, even just having a nice day at work, help you with a particular task, or a difficult meeting, situation, or on that night out, be creative, you might be amazed! My favourite is asking them to help me buy presents for people and when I go clothes shopping for myself.
Simple one – Angel of parking spaces – before you travel or as you are travelling to work, shopping etc and you need to park. Mentally ask the Angel of parking spaces, please would you have a space available for me to park when I get to........................ when you park remember to thank your Angel.
Works every time for me , occasionally I will have to wait, but I will be told where to stop and wait in the car park and then the next minute someone comes along to go. You just need to be open and relaxed to receiving feelings of intuition, trust your gut instinct.
I also use Angel protection for when I’m travelling around in my car. Mentally I call Archangel Michael to cover my car and whoever is in the car with his blue cloak of protection, which I visualise it totally covering the car above and underneath so that you can not see it, to protect me and keep me and whoever else is in the car safe while we’re travelling around today. Thank you. Repeat daily
Another way is using Guardian Angels and white light, which I use to protect my house, stables and all of the farm. Mentally asking Guardian Angels to cover my house, stables and farm in white light and asking Guardian Angels to surround my house, stables and farm individually to protect it and keep it safe at all times and all who live on it animal, human and material things. Thank you. Repeat daily
Protection is only as protective as much as you believe it to be, so if you believe it to be 100% without a doubt it will be! Believing is seeing!!
Always listen and trust your gut instinct (solar plexus) (your middle) Tight feeling in your gut or and jaw, can be a NO, you need to ask yourself why your feeling like that, with what ever it is your doing or who your with. Ask yourself simple questions, one thing at a time to find out what’s possible not right. If you have a warm relaxed feeling inside about something you’ve asked about or you’ve asked about doing then is most likely a YES.
We are all born to be able to heal ourselves and others, someone who is there to say the words someone needs to hear. Which might be while their doing their job or as a friend offering advice or just being there to listen. A conversation with someone unexpectedly, where you hear something that resonates with you, or is one of those light bulb moments! Whichever way, words spoken in kindness can help heal and put someone on or towards their correct path in life.
A thought for the day! What you give out to the world, you get back ten fold.
So if you are a person who is always kind, thoughtful, helpful and loving to other people and life, you will have this mirrored back to you ten fold.
If you send out alot of negative thought and behaviour, this will come back to you magnified ten times over.
So if you happen to send or say something to someone that is a negative thought or words, we all do sometimes, even before we’ve noticed. As soon as you realise, mentally send them lots of love and imagine what you said or thought being covered in pink and green light to heal it and see it deleted and disappearing. Replace with a kind thought to that person or situation. Remember if you suddenly find yourself in a difficult situation, argument etc mentally call on the Angels to help you to resolve it, you don’t need to specify how, leave that to them, just ask it to be for the highest good or better for all of you concerned."
Love and light

"When I first contacted Liz I was at the end of my tether with my young ex racer. I thought what have I got to lose, anything is worth a try! I sent off some of his tail and waited. When Liz contacted me to reveal what she had found, I was amazed at the information that she told me, she told me things that myself and my chiropractor had picked up on. I was so intrigued I booked Liz to visit us to give Guinness a treatment, I could not believe my eyes -the way he stretched and dosed off whilst she was moving over his body was so expressive. He seemed so relaxed during and following his treatment. This prompted me to ask if she treated humans. I wanted to know what it felt like. The effects of my first treatment, during, but more so following the session were profound, since then I have had two further treatments. I can honestly say meeting Liz has changed my life. It has brought things to the surface that I had buried deep within myself, I feel like a different person and I now realise how depressed I had been. I will continue to keep in touch with Liz and see her as and when I feel I need to."

Healing for a beautiful Westie Dog
"This has been a very special week – we had to get our Westie’s coat trimmed! When you first met her in July she was almost bald, with severe fungal infection on her chest and very hot. We did get some medicated shampoo from the vet, but the real breakthrough came after your first session with her.The next day she was behaving differently, she was more lively, she was scratching less and her skin was cooler. The work you did with her, seemed to enable her to release emotion from the past and her skin has gone from strength to strength. I know Westies are very prone to skin disorders and they can be very difficult to treat. With your help, our Westie has recovered and is looking in really good shape."

"I bought my first horse Laddy, a 16 year old, 16.2 TB/Hanovarian cross, back in July 2008. Liz came with me to ride him, and found him to be very sore in his back. He was also very underweight and I was told grumpy at tea times. Knowing all of this, I’d decided I wanted to give Laddy a loving and permenant home for ever – he was the sort of horse I’d always dreamed of owning. I also knew with Liz’s help and with him being stabled at Rackenford with Liz that I could achieve this.
We discovered within a day or two of having him, that he was very aggressive to the point of challenging people who went into his stable with him and was actually VERY protective over his food at anytime of the day! He also managed to give me quite a nasty bite on my back-being an animal lover I’d also wanted a horse that was affectionate towards me and vice versa.
Liz’s healing most definitely helped his back and he’s definitely ready for his new saddle, but more importantly through Liz’s healing, it helped me to understand why Laddy was so angry and upset, so I could help him get over the past and trust me as his new owner.
Today, I know Laddy trusts me and I trust him. He loves lots of affection and even let’s me hold his food bowl for him to eat from.
I’m so lucky to have found Liz, she’s such a great person and I know without her healing and her support, Laddy would not be the horse he is today."

"My name is Karen, and my profession is in nursing. In my early 40’s a couple of years ago, I decided I wanted to learn to ride, (having never learn’t as a child). As well as caring for people I very much have a passion for animals and nature.
I was extremely fortunate to have been pointed in the direction of Liz Loader as a riding instructor. I have known Liz in this capacity for a couple of years now, Liz has encouraged my passion and ability leading me forward with her skills, knowledge experience and qualifications.
Liz runs a unique stable, (in my experience) a place which exudes calmness, understanding, life long experience, personability, which is noticeably appreciated by horse and rider. I have also been fortunate to experience for myself and my animals, Liz’s ability to communicate with animal’s and humans through understanding, feeling, connection with the ability to translate all she feels and experiences.
The result being improved function, quality of life, and release of negativity through the process of healing. I have received this personally, for my dogs and also witnessed positive change in horse’s in Liz’s care. My dog Jack died last year leaving my dog Tess stressed and ill with colitis due to the loss of Jack. I immediately wanted to get another dog as a friend, but thankfully Liz was able to connect with Tess, aid her through her grieving and tell me Tess did not want another friend yet, she was grieving Jack. Liz made a few connections with Tess from which she was able to reveal an understanding she could not have known. Tess gave her vivid descriptions which Liz could not have known. Tess is now happy, loves one to one attention and does not want another friend, she is so well and happy! I too have had several healing sessions with Liz which overtime has aided a deep release, allowing a loosening of tension, aiding a body and mind to feel less tangled and squeezed, regaining an equalibrium, confidence and release. Healing has completed my life, aided a valuable way forward which has been comfortable and non – threatening in my experience."

"I’ve seen improvements in my horses since Liz has been working on them. Rocky, was really bad to tack up at the races! Almost impossible! Liz helped to calm her down and make race days a pleasure not a nightmare We dreaded!!!Rocky also had a bad fall, Liz knew things about that day that only people who were there would know. Eddie our newest horse We got from Ascot sales had a couple of problems. Liz helped ease a persistent cough and a rash he always got in the summer months, but only in one field. She found a yellow plant/flower was causing the problem. Liz knew it wasn’t a Buttercup, but another type of plant. Liz has never been to our fields. She was right We do have a yellow plant in that field and it wasn’t a Buttercup! After moving fields with Eddie, away from the yellow flowers, the rash has never come back. I have recommended Liz to several of my clients I teach, and they have all found the results beneficial in different ways. Some found it diagnostically helpful and others just got a better understanding of their horse. My horses are very happy and content with life and work. I feel Liz has contributed towards this in several different ways. I would recommend it to anyone, whether it be for themselves or their horse."

"Shadow is 13years old Irish draft x. Last winter he was diagnosed with arthritis in both knees. Shadow had been lame for about 3 months prior to being diagnosed. During that time I tried various things to ease his pain, no riding, removal of shoes, bathing his feet in salt baths, anti inflammatory medication. Shadow’s mood had dipped to and he was not his usual cheeky self. I became very concerned about this and even more once the Xray confirmed the worst. The vet advised me to have him put down as he is too big to keep as a pet and I will not be able to ride him because his disease will get worse. I was very upset by this comment, I have had Shadow for 5 years and we are good friends I was not prepared to have him put down. A good friend of mine recommended Liz. So I sent her some of Shadow’s mane and basic details such as age, colour, breed and sex. Liz telephoned me with her news. She explained how Shadow was feeling both physically and psychologically. Liz had no idea that shadow had recently being diagnosed with arthritis yet she was able to explain exactly where he was feeling the pain along with the reasons for his low mood. Liz explained to me that he was feeling old, his knees were sore so was his back, worse down the right side, he knew that the vet had advised me to have him put down and felt depressed by this news. Shadow was also feeding off my sad thoughts and was able to sense what I was thinking. After Liz had sent Shadow some healing we moved livery yards to a flat place no hills no more riding on hard roads lots of loving and reassurance that I was not going to have him put down. Shadow’s mood improved, he is now very settled, being ridden out at walk three times a week he has bute daily and wears magnetic boots. I recently sent Liz some more of Shadow’s mane to see how he was feeling now. Good news he still does have days when he is in pain but his cheeky mood has returned and he is very happy in his flat field and taking a steady walk around the block each week. Liz was able to give me reassurance that Shadow is very sensitive to my thoughts and he does have days when he feels stiff but no way is he ready to be put down. May I take this opportunity to thank Liz for sending Shadow healing enabling him to release some of his tension, and go on to lead a happy semi retired life."

Sometimes with horses you know something is not quite right but cannot put your finger on it. Obviously they cannot talk and generally, being nice willing animals they struggle on despite having irksome problems. More and more I turn to ‘’alternative medicine’’ as well as conventional as I feel there is a place for both. Most things, especially healing take time and feeling you are on the right track and doing something helps to convince you that time is worth taking! If you have an empathy with horses and can interpret the information Liz gives you, she is a great help with diagnosing horse problems from an alternative angle.
I have used Liz and her ‘’gift’’ of communication with horses to help work out and solve my horse’s idiosyncrasies with success. An element of interpretation has to take place which is obviously not always easy as the messages Liz picks up are sometimes bizarre; (the horse cannot always say exactly what they are trying to!) but all in all I find her helpful to turn to when I am not quite sure of something and I need to work it out. She has often been accurate in her observations from afar.
I have found her particularly helpful where allergies are concerned, as often changing a feed or removing what is not agreeing with the horse solves both performance and behaviour problems. Horses need fine tuning if they are to perform to their best. She has had good effect on long term healing after injury and her assessment of recovery has coincided with what I’m feeling/ seeing in the horse.
DD Kingscote, Bridgwater, Somerset.
(Event rider and long term owner of performance horses), Master Mayhem (Emmy) and Mr Lewis (Flash)
I asked Liz to do a reading for my horse Spinach who had been coughing and unusually quiet for some time, she had also bucked me off in an uncharacteristically aggressive manner, and seemed thoroughly out of sorts.
Liz reported that Spinach had told her of a very sore place on her back underneath the saddle, during her treatment Spinach released a lot of emotion. She had injured herself whilst travelling in a different horsebox going down a steep hill, she informed Liz that she wasn’t going in that horsebox again! Not knowing about Liz’s treatment, the chiropractor also found a tight spot in the same place and treated the muscle, she commented on the amount of heat released from the spot. Some weeks earlier, we had been on a fun ride with a friend travelling down a very steep hill during the journey in her horsebox.
Liz’s experience with Spinach matched the chiropractors diagnosis, and reflected my impression of Spinach’s mood very closely, it gave me insight into my horse’s mood and character, which enabled me to treat her more effectively. I would thoroughly recommend her.
