The Pantanal Wildlife Safari ride covers 50,000 acres of breathtaking landscapes - savanna lowlands, seasonal wetlands and rich forest areas. The working ranches (100,000 head of cattle) of São Roque and São João, owned by the Lemos Monteiro family, in the South Matogrossense Pantanal are the base for this trip. The Pantanal, known as the world's biggest ecological sanctuary and largest wetland area, covers some 240,000 sq.kms of the upper Paraguay river basin.
